Feng Hsin Taichung is a scrap-based steel plant: an electric arc furnace melts recycled steel scrap into new crude steel. The liquid steel is solidified into semi-finished shapes by continuous casting. The plant has a crude steel capacity of about 1.8 million tonnes per year. Its main products are rebar, bar, billet, round bar, angle.
