The service
Steel Learning ("we", "us") is a free, public reference database of global steel plants. It is operated as a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom. The learning modules, quizzes and paid subscriptions it previously offered have been retired, and there are no longer any user accounts.
Acceptance
By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
No accounts or payments
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay. The site is free to use in full, with no account, and we take no payments of any kind. All previously held accounts and subscription records have been deleted, and no charge was ever made to any customer.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute the platform's content or data at scale
- Resell or sublicence access to the platform
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or organisation
Intellectual property
- Platform UI and code are proprietary — all rights reserved
- Steel plant data is sourced from the Global Iron & Steel Tracker (Global Energy Monitor) and licensed under CC BY 4.0
- Production statistics are sourced from Our World in Data (USGS/BGS), which are in the public domain or licensed under OGL
Disclaimers
The site is provided for reference and educational purposes. Plant data comes from a third-party dataset; while we aim for accuracy, we make no warranty that it is complete, current, or error-free. Do not rely solely on this site for commercial or engineering decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. As the site is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to zero to the extent the law allows.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes
We may update these terms. As we no longer hold any contact details, changes take effect when published on this page.
