GEM wiki

Kurdistan Steel Qorveh follows the DRI–EAF route: iron ore is reduced in the solid state to direct reduced iron by direct reduction, then melted into steel in an electric arc furnace. The liquid steel is solidified into semi-finished shapes by continuous casting. The plant has a crude steel capacity of about 1.0 million tonnes per year. Its main products are coil, hot rolled coil, slab.
