Krakatau Steel Cilegon is a scrap-based steel plant: an electric arc furnace melts recycled steel scrap into new crude steel. The liquid steel is solidified into semi-finished shapes by continuous casting. The plant has a crude steel capacity of about 4.0 million tonnes per year. Its main products are rod, bar, pipe, cold rolled, hot rolled, wire.
