Türkiye has 30 steel plants tracked in the Global Iron and Steel Tracker, with a combined crude steel capacity of about 64.6 million tonnes per year. 27 of them are electric arc furnace plants melting recycled scrap, alongside 3 integrated BF–BOF sites. The largest is Isdemir Payas, at about 5.8 million tonnes per year.
